Welcome to India Alive....

In 1992, David Stambler spent 11 months on a cultural and photographic research trip through South-East Asia, 4 months of which were in Thailand. This energized him to continue on to India for 6 months in 1994 to record folk, religious, and tribal music in many states. Most of his journey there focused on the North-East and North-West of the country, where the beauty of the region and the magic of the various religions were only surpassed by the openness and kindness of the Indian people. After teaching English in Japan, hosting jazz and international radio programs in Ontario, and his trips through Asia, David is now pursuing a career in Multimedia
in Vancouver.
